Terms of service
The terms for booking a private adult ADHD assessment with headwell.
1. About us
These terms are between you and headwell ([PLACEHOLDER: legal entity name, company number and registered address]). Contact us at hello@headwellclinic.com.
2. The service
headwell provides private ADHD assessments for adults aged 18 and over, delivered remotely. The service includes a pre-assessment questionnaire, a triage call of about 15 minutes, a clinical assessment, feedback on the outcome, a written report and, with your consent, a letter to your GP.
headwell provides assessments only. We do not provide treatment, prescribe medication, or start or adjust medication.
3. Outcomes
You are paying for a clinical assessment, not for a particular result. An assessment can conclude that the criteria for ADHD are met, that they are not met, or that the picture is partial and further review is needed. We cannot guarantee any outcome, and the fee is not refundable because of the outcome.
We will send a letter to your GP if you consent. Whether your GP accepts a private diagnosis, or agrees to a shared-care arrangement, is their decision and is not guaranteed.
4. Price and payment
The fee is £995, fixed. No VAT is charged. [PLACEHOLDER: Martin to confirm the VAT exemption applies] The full fee is paid when you book your triage call, through our booking provider (Cal.com) and payment provider (Stripe).
5. If triage finds an assessment isn't right for you
The triage call checks that an assessment is suitable and safe for you. If we decide it isn't, we will explain why and suggest other sources of help. [PLACEHOLDER: refund in this case. Proposed: full refund. Awaiting Martin.]
6. Your right to cancel (14 days)
Because you book online, you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of booking, without giving a reason. To cancel, email hello@headwellclinic.com or use the cancellation link in your booking confirmation. We will refund you within 14 days of your cancelling, using the same payment method.
If you ask for any part of the service to take place within the 14-day period (for example, a triage call or assessment in the first 14 days) and then cancel, we may deduct an amount proportionate to the service already provided. Once the service has been fully provided within the 14 days at your request, the right to cancel no longer applies.
7. Cancelling or rescheduling after 14 days
[PLACEHOLDER: cancellation and rescheduling policy, e.g. notice period for free rescheduling, what happens if an appointment is missed]
8. If we need to cancel
If we have to cancel an appointment, we will offer you another time. If we cannot provide the service, we will give you a full refund for any part not provided.
9. Eligibility and honesty
You must be 18 or over and booking for yourself. Please give accurate information. The assessment depends on it.
10. Not an emergency service
headwell is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is at immediate risk, call 999 or go to A&E. For urgent help, call NHS 111, or Samaritans on 116 123.
11. Complaints
Please tell us if you're unhappy. Email hello@headwellclinic.com. [PLACEHOLDER: complaints process and timescales]
12. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Nothing in them affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
